Today I had the job of driving home 4 crazy 6th grade girls from volleyball practice. They were pretty hyped up when I picked them up at 7:00. They took over my iPod and played these songs while singing them at the tops of their adorable little lungs. Here is the playlist for the volleyball carpool:
Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond)
Knee Deep (Zac Brown Band)
Bennie & the Jets (Elton John)
Stuck Like Glue (Sugarland)
Tonight, Tonight (Hot Chelle Rae)
Single Ladies (Beyonce)
Except for the Hot Chelle Rae song, I would have been singing along with them if that would have been an acceptable thing for a middle aged mom to do in front of her daughter and her daughter's friends. And my favorite thing about the whole experience is they were singing loud and did not care how they sounded. Plus the songs are all great (again except for the Hot Chelle Rae song, which is catchy even if it is cheesy).

Party Posts
January 24, 2012
I thought I would share some pictures from the fun holiday parties we went to this past December.
Kathy hosted her traditional Christmas Eve Mexican fiesta on the non-traditional day of December 23rd. It was fun and delicious, as always.
Now, a little out of order... here's the Massimis' Christmas Party December 17th.
Some hot mamas and their kiddos. Can you find the three high schoolers in this photo?
And we sent 2011 off with a BANG! Started at the Tejadas' house and then cruised over to the Vig via the fabulous Vig Rig. Lots of good food, music, bocce ball, and friends.
Grace H,, Grace R. & Jamie came over in PJs to blow stuff up.
The End. Happy New Year!

Grace wanted to take pictures of us, so we hammed it up.
The cousins appeasing Aunt Karen & Aunt Kackery who want a picture...always.

You would think the party ended there. You would be wrong. We schlepped back to the Tejadas so the kids could light the fireworks they were so patiently waiting to light...but not without parental supervision!

Christmas Eve & Day 2011
January 5, 2012
This post is in reverse order, so scroll down to the bottom and work your way up the photos. It is too hard for my lo-tech brain to move them around.
It was a beautiful day full of fun, food, and family. And no nap for me. : (
Dinner with the Halter/Hinse/Hahnenkratts
Then round three with Grandma Joyce & Poppy Don.
The Halters arrive for round two.
The big event...finally. Christmas morning.
My guys. So handsome.
Tommy sort of matches if boxers count.
Kids opening the pj gift. We had a hard time getting the same pjs for size 3T through adult M, so they don't really "Match" this year.
Christmas Eve in the Halterhome:
Wii bowling after church (Grace still dressed up). Can you believe I didn't get a family photo of us all dressed up?!
