This big guy (or girl???) and his buddies were snacking in the yard next door when we got "home" today. We opened all the windows and just watched the herd meander around the cul-de-sac behind us. A couple of the elk got right up into our yard. This is one of the things I love about Flagstaff and will really miss it.
This one was so close to our window that we could see that its antlers looked fuzzy.
Coming over to check out the grub in our yard.
There were seven elk total. So cool!
